This is a selection of monetary variables from the Bank of Ghana, only the main macro-economic indicators are selected, and defined as below.

- Narrow money (M1) includes the most liquid forms of money, such as physical currency and demand deposits at banks.
- Broad money (M2) includes all of M1 plus less liquid forms of money, such as savings deposits, time deposits, and money market mutual funds.
- Currency outside banks refers to the total amount of physical currency in circulation that is not held within the banking system.
- The total credit represents the distribution of total credit extended by banks to various economic sectors, such as agriculture, industry, and services.
- The sector specific credit represents the credit allocated to each sector.
